Our vehicles are equipped with telematics sensors that record various driving and vehicle data. This includes, among other things, speed, braking and acceleration behavior, cornering, distance driven, and the vehicle’s location. These data are stored in connection with the respective trip and linked to the corresponding MILES account.
We collect this information for several reasons: It ensures accurate billing and allows us to locate the vehicle in case of theft or damage. Additionally, it enables us to detect indications of improper or safety-critical use at an early stage. This enables us to take preventive action to avoid accidents and damage, helping to protect all road users and our fleet.
