All our Opel Astra vehicles are automatic and are started and switched off keylessly via the start/stop button.
And here's how it works:
When getting in, first check the interior of your MILES. If the car is heavily soiled, please report it via the pop-up in the app.
Take three minutes to properly adjust the mirrors, seat, and steering wheel. The handles & levers are located under the steering wheel and at the front and side of the lower seat frame. You can adjust the mirrors using the controls on the driver's door.
The light controls are located between the steering wheel & the driver's door. It's best to set the lights to automatic mode so you don't forget to turn them on or off.
Start the engine by pressing the brake pedal with your foot while simultaneously pressing the start/stop button above the gear selector in the centre console. The gear selector must be in position P.
To drive forward, move the gear selector to ‘D’; to reverse, move it to ‘R’.
Release the handbrake using the red illuminated button marked (P) in the centre console.
Don't be surprised: As soon as you take your foot off the brake, the car will start to roll slowly on its own. This applies to both drive and reverse.
Now gently press the accelerator to pick up speed. That's it – enjoy your ride!
