Car (S & M): Our cars are equipped with a start/stop system – no ignition key needed! Simply press the brake firmly and press the start/stop button at the same time, and you're good to go. 🙌
Van (L & XL): Most of our vans have a manual gearbox and are started manually. You'll find the ignition key in the glove compartment on the passenger side. In the vehicle card, you can check before each reservation whether your chosen vehicle has a manual or automatic gearbox.
Got an automatic van? Keep the brake pedal pressed and press the start/stop button at the same time – just like in a car.
Engine won't start?
- Brake: In most cases, the brake simply hasn't been pressed firmly enough. Please note: the brake pedal also needs to be fully pressed to release the handbrake.
- Steering lock (L & XL vehicles): Turn the ignition key in the lock while moving the steering wheel left and right to release the lock.
